Straight 8 Film StudioThree08
StudioThree08 recently hosted a unique filmmaking challenge, giving our clients the opportunity to create their own short films using the sets and spaces within our studio.
Straight 8 began in London in 1999 and has since grown into a global filmmaking challenge - one that every filmmaker should try at least once.
The concept is simple, but the challenge is anything but: can you make a great film using just one roll of Super 8mm film?
There are no retakes, no editing, no grading and no post-production. Every frame is created in-camera, with each pull of the trigger becoming part of the final film.
One roll. One chance. No second takes.
Century Artists @StudioThree08
For Carmen (Part Two), we made use of StudioThree08’s red and green sets to create two distinct visual worlds throughout the music video and accompanying short-form content.
The red set brought a bold, intense feel to the performance, while the green set offered a contrasting atmosphere and colour palette. Using the two spaces allowed us to switch up the look and energy across the content while keeping the visuals cohesive.
The studio gave us the flexibility to build out a range of shots and compositions within the same shoot, creating enough variation for both the main music video and social-first content.
